First ever blog!

Well, this is fun! Just off to spend day with godchildren and take them to the elephant orphanage this evening to watch the baby ellies put to bed - an awesome experience. If you want to find out more about the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant orphanage go to www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org. They also have the most fabulous place you can stay at in Tsavo Park where they have an orphan herd and you get to feed the babies with the biggest milk bottles you have ever seen. The best part is watching them in the wild having their bath in a small waterhole - fabulous!

Front of my personal journal- sheet is one from an old childrens album and thought the title was perfect!
Anyway back to business, beeen starting my adventures in crafting and basically my sister is responsible for all this as she is a wonderfully creative person and all round extraordianry woman, whose ability and enthusiasm got me involved. Then we went to some workshops by the amazingly talented Dyan Reaveley - find her at www.afth.co.uk - you got to get to her workshops folks - a whirlwind of inking, stamping, imagination . . . the list goes on! So here are a few of the things I have been looking at - Art Journalling, backgrounds, scrapbooking . .  hope you enjoy them as much as I did creating them. Any comments very welcome as always learning, learning learning . . .
To catch you up, here are a few I did earlier . . .
Loved doing this one. It was on a backgrounds course by Dyan then I went home and decorated the front - don't you love all things Tim Holtz!

Page in journal - got loads of images from www.graphicsfairy.com - a wonderful site.

First Quiltie page - doing a Mini Art Quilt online coursewith Lenna Andrews who has been just lovely. Find her at www.creativelenna.com. Also doing an online coursewith her called 4artists4ways - combines everything I love to do! See 4artists4ways.typepad.com
